Gledhow Gardens, London SW - spiral staircase GRP monolithic cladding

Design & Display Structures were appointed by London based main contractor Syntec Projects to design detail, manufacture and install a complex GRP spiral stair cladding to fit around a primary steelwork structure at an exclusive house refurbishment in Gledhow Gardens, SW London.

The D&D design team worked closely with Syntec Projects and concept designers VWBS to achieve the sweeping effect desired in the high quality refurbishment project which, due to working in and around existing structures as well as incorporating new steelwork elements being manufactured off site, naturally presents an number of additional challenges.

Having drafted preliminary design details and progressed to the 3D modelling phase the bespoke tooling rapidly took shape, the GRP modular components fabricated, then site installed and jointed to complete this fabulous looking construction.
