Contract award - Aylesbury Waterside Theatre & Entertainment Centre
Design & Display Structures have been awarded the contract by D & A Shopfitting, Northampton to design, manufacture and install interior GRP fore stage sound reflector panels and GRG feature cladding panels/canopies to the bar areas and Box Office reception at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre. The Architect is Arts Team, the main contractor Willmott Dixon and the client Aylesbury Vale District Council. The lightweight curving GRP fore stage sound reflectors will be suspended from space frame support trusses and cable suspended from hoisting gear so they can be lowered up/down on demand whilst accommodating a range of permanently fixed speakers as well as a large central speaker cluster accessed by GRP bi folding doors. The GRG bar cladding features will incorporate lighting / bottle shelving recesses and large scale lettering recessed and finished to a different texture, all fixed back to a timber supporting framework.
