LCCA, Southwark - Pod
GRP specialist Design & Display Structures has won a contract to carry out key modifications to the Palestra Pod, Southwark - the first in a series of major projects by the London Climate Change Agency (LCCA) to help tackle the threat of global warming. Under the Transport for London Trigeneration scheme, the structure will be first in the nation's capital to house an eco-friendly fuel cell CHP unit. This new energy solution will deliver combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) to the Palestra building, while cutting carbon emissions by nearly a quarter.
